Board of Grievances Chairman launches AI usage principles document

News Date : 3/13/2026

His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Grievances and President of the Administrative Judiciary Council, Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Alohaydib, directed the launch of the Principles for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems Document at the Board of Grievances. This comes in conjunction with the Council of Ministers' approval to designate the year 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence, within the framework of the Board's efforts to enhance the adoption of modern technologies in supporting the efficiency of administrative judicial work and to reinforce the principles of responsible use of smart technologies.

The document aims to regulate the development, implementation, and use of artificial intelligence systems within the Board of Grievances and its courts, as well as to define their governance framework, controls, and ethical standards. This is intended to promote the safe and responsible use of modern technologies when handling such systems, ensure the highest levels of transparency and integrity in their application, and raise awareness among the Board's judicial and administrative staff regarding the importance of optimal AI use in supporting business sustainability and development.

The Board of Grievances noted that the Principles for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems Document was formulated in accordance with the regulatory framework of several legislative issuances by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The document will be periodically reviewed and updated by the Decision Support Center at the Board, with all employees using AI systems required to comply with its provisions. The relevant entity within the Center will oversee and monitor the level of compliance with its implementation.
