The General Panel of the Administrative Supreme Court convened its meeting under the chairmanship of His Eminence Sheikh Ali bin Sulaiman Al-Saawi, President of the Administrative Supreme Court, and issued its Decision No. (1) for the year 1447 AH, ruling that jurisdiction over appeals against decisions issued by the Committee for Examining Violations Arising from the Application of the Healthcare Professions Practice Law rests originally with the administrative courts of the Board of Grievances.
This decision reaffirms the fundamental role of administrative courts in reviewing administrative claims and the decisions issued by specialized committees related to them. It also reinforces a stable judicial pathway that guarantees two levels of litigation, allowing appellants to present their disputes before the competent judicial authority from the first stage of the judicial process.
The decision further reflects the Administrative Supreme Court's approach in unifying judicial principles and clarifying jurisdictions, thereby enhancing the quality of judicial work, improving procedural efficiency, and ensuring coherence in the application of the regulations related to the Healthcare Professions Practice Law and the corresponding committees.
