H.E. Dr. Khaled Alyousef launches the Smart Court system at the 2025 Digital Government Forum

News Date : 11/5/2025

His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Grievances and President of the Administrative Judicial Council, Dr. Khaled bin Mohammed Alyousef, announced today, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, during his participation in the 2025 Digital Government Forum, the launch of the Smart Court system, which represents a qualitative leap in the digital litigation experience within the Board of Grievances. The system relies on advanced technological solutions that achieve the highest standards of governance and quality in judicial services.

In his speech, His Excellency emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and with the guidance and follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince — may God preserve them — is advancing toward a promising digital future built on a progressive legislative environment and distinguished human capabilities. These efforts strengthen governance across sectors and enhance operational integration.

He further explained that the Smart Court system aligns with this vision by providing unified, cyber-secure litigation procedures characterized by flexibility, precision, transparency, and efficiency, thereby achieving the highest levels of justice.

The system enables remote litigation sessions through a unified platform and simplified digital procedures that facilitate participation for judicial circuits and parties to the cases. It also provides integrated documentation tools to record session proceedings, ensuring rights protection and enhancing performance efficiency. Moreover, the system represents a progressive step toward leveraging judicial data and artificial intelligence to support the administrative judicial ecosystem.

The launch of the Smart Court system comes as a continuation of the Board of Grievances' digital transformation journey, which recently introduced the Cognitive Assistant Program as one of its artificial intelligence initiatives in the judicial field. This reinforces the Board's capability to develop its smart services, anticipate beneficiaries' needs, and establish a new phase of digital justice built on flexibility, sustainability, and integration.
